- 1 tsp matcha
- up to 2 T chopped ginger
- ½ cup ice
- up to ½ lime – juice only
- Stevia or unsweetened whole berry or pomegranate juice
Blend matcha, ginger and ice at high speed until ice is crushed. Pour immediately into a chilled glass. Add lime juice to taste. Be prepared for a tang, and if you need to sweeten, try a little Stevia (Health guru Dr. Michael Greger says to limit yourself to two Stevia-sweetened drinks/day) or a tad of whole fruit juice. You could even use the drippings from thawed frozen berries.

Caution: Matcha–or too much matcha– makes some people dizzy. In that case, just make yourself a facial mask with the matcha powder and scare off the ghouls instead. Oops, I’m thinking Day of the Dead, not Cinco de Mayo.
